Positive visit to Age UK’s Carers Retreat, which was highly recommended by one of my constituents. I pay tribute to this inspirational group of people who care for a variety of loved ones who suffer from Dementia.
I encourage people to visit the excellent Armistice Exhibition that is on at Kenilworth Library until 1st December. I was pleased to open it in this significant year and it is important for us to remember the sacrifices made beyond Remembrance Day itself.
Good to meet with the Police and Crime Commissioner, Inspector David Kettle and Chief Inspector Neil Harrison in Kenilworth today, to highlight issues raised by constituents and hear about the work that Warwickshire Police are doing to keep our communities safe.
One hundred years ago, the news of the Armistice was celebrated on these shores and the First World War came to an end. It was a brutal war. Millions of lives were lost, countless families were torn apart and the world was never the same again.
For Kenilworth Books to be selected as one of the 25 best Small Shops in the UK out of 100,000 is an outstanding achievement. It is testament to the hard work and commitment of staff and the vision they have driven forward.
