Parliament During Covid 19

Life has been profoundly different for most of us since March and Members of Parliament are no exception.

Best Small Shops Competition 2020

The Best Small Shops Competition is returning for its fifth year and I hope Kenilworth and Southam’s small shopkeepers will enter the Competition, celebrating the successes of small shops and the central role they play in their local community, particularly in response to Covid-19.

I was pleased to visit Southam last Friday to hear from local businesses on how COVID-19 has impacted them, and how they’re finding the recovery stage. It’s reassuring to see how local businesses are taking their safety obligations very seriously.

Support for the Creative Industries

Many of the emails and letters I have received during the period of the Coronavirus outbreak have been from those who work in the creative industries, including those who perform, or who support performers.

Coventry City of Culture

Coventry’s City of Culture programme will now start in May 2021 and run until May 2022, allowing us still to celebrate, though a little later than planned, the rich and diverse culture of Coventry and Warwickshire.
