King's Speech Autumn 2023

Artificial Intelligence (or machine learning as some experts would prefer we called it) has been a source of both excitement and concern for some time. The recent international summit, hosted by the UK at Bletchley Park, focussed largely on the concern.

Warwickshire Youth Conference

I was able to drop in on the Warwickshire Annual Youth Conference.

This conference is a great chance for young people in Warwickshire to be heard on their priorities for the county and it was good to see so many taking that opportunity.

 

Abbey Fields Swimming Pool

Pleased that the Warwick District Council Cabinet agreed to continue with a new swimming pool complex at Abbey Fields.

I recognise that this was not a straightforward decision, but Kenilworth needs and deserves new swimming facilities to be available as soon as possible.

Tithe Lodge Café

I am working with the District and Town Council to make sure that the Tithe Lodge Café in Southam re-opens soon for the benefit of Tithe Lodge residents and the wider community.

 

Medical Facility Upper Lighthorne

I am working with the NHS Integrated Care Board (ICB), Stratford District Council and local Parish Councils to ensure the new housing development at Gaydon/Lighthorne Heath has new GP facilities on site.
