Each year in the UK, thousands of parents and families go through the devastating experience of losing a child. On average, each day fifteen babies will sadly die either before, during, or shortly after birth.

Good to meet with representatives from the FSB to hear about topical issues for local businesses. The meeting also gave me the chance to hear more about the FSB ‘Think Self-Employed’ campaign.

Interesting meeting with Marc Levy of the Jewish Leadership Council to hear in particular about the opportunities the Jewish community is working to provide in arts, culture and sport, as well as the challenges that it faces at the moment.

Visit to Threadmaster Gauges

Visit to Threadmaster Gauges, which is based in Kenilworth. This local business has been a leading manufacturer of thread and plain gauges for more than 35 years, and I was interested to learn more about the production process.

Visit to local Air Ambulance Service

Great visit to our local Air Ambulance Service last week. I am hugely supportive of the brilliant work they do across the county and beyond, to save lives and alleviate sickness wherever and whenever possible.

Warwickshire County Council is encouraging Warwickshire residents to think about their own mental health and wellbeing and to seek support if they are struggling to cope.

I recently went on patrol with the Kenilworth Safer Neighbourhood Team, as part of the National Police Chief’s Council scheme to give MP’s the opportunity to see the day to day work of the police.

Internet Safety at St Nicholas C of E Primary School

I was pleased to visit St Nicholas C of E Primary School in Kenilworth to introduce their ‘Be Internet Legends’ assembly.

The internet is an amazing resource but it has dangers for children who do not understand the risks. This programme helps to ensure that they do.

World Alzheimer’s Day

Since 2012, September has been marked as World Alzheimer’s Month, the centrepiece of which is World Alzheimer’s Day, which falls on the 21st September every year.
