Mental Health Awareness Week

This week is Mental Health Awareness Week. Today I met with a representative from Springfield Mind to hear about the valuable work they do in Warwickshire and talk about how we can collaborate in the future.

Visit to Dogs Trust

I recently visited the Dogs Trust Kenilworth rehoming centre in Honiley, and learned about the good work they do promoting responsible dog ownership and finding homes for the dogs in their care.

Archbishop of Canterbury Visit

It was great to welcome the Archbishop of Canterbury back to Southam, the former rector of St James' Church.

Visit to Citizens Advice

Earlier this year I visited Citizens Advice (CA) in Leamington, to meet with the Chief Executive, Trustees and volunteers.

Kenilworth Station

I am delighted that Kenilworth station has re-opened today after more than fifty years.

Military action in Syria

Last week, the United Kingdom engaged in military action in Syria alongside the United States and France. The decision to do so was one in which, as Attorney General, I was closely involved and which I am confident was the right one. I want to explain why.

World Parkinson's Day

World Parkinson’s Day falls on 11 April (next Wednesday), and the 2018 #UniteForParkinsons campaign is already well underway. As ever these days, social media campaigns tend to take centre stage, but I wanted to take this opportunity to highlight it in the local press.

U15 Schools Vase Final

Good Luck to the team from Kenilworth School and Sixth Form playing in the Under 15 Schools Vase final at Twickenham Stadium today. An amazing achievement for the boys, the school and the town.

Meet with Kenilworth Safer Neighbourhood Team

It was good to speak to the Inspector in charge of the Kenilworth Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT), which works with communities and partner organisations to identify and address local concerns, tackle crime and make communities safer.
