Brexit Update July 2019

As you will know, Theresa May resigned as leader of the Conservative Party on 7 June and has now been replaced as Prime Minister by Boris Johnson.

New Chair of Kenilworth Chamber of Trade

Great to catch up with Sarah Kershaw, the new Chair of Kenilworth Chamber of Trade.

I wish her every success in this important role and I am sure that she will continue the hard work of the outgoing Chair, Seánna Holland.

Leaving the Government

It has been a privilege to sit around the Cabinet table for five years and to serve in Government for the last nine years. I wish the new Prime Minister and his administration the best of luck.

The Prime Minister

By the time you read this, the United Kingdom will have a new Prime Minister. As I write, I do not know whether Jeremy Hunt or Boris Johnson will be entering Downing Street, but I do know that Theresa May will be leaving it, and it is on her, and the office she has held, that I want to focus.

Warwickshire and Solihull Blood Bikes

Pleased to hear that University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) NHS Trust is once again working with Warwickshire and Solihull Blood Bikes (WSBB) to collect and deliver samples.

Kenilworth Carnival

The Carnival Committee and all involved in putting the carnival together have done another great job this year. In the 14 years I have walked with the procession I can’t remember it hotter, but the community spirit on display was as strong as ever.

50th Anniversary of the Kenilworth Lions

Delighted to attend a Gala Dinner to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Kenilworth Lions last week.

The Kenilworth Lions are celebrating 50 years of wonderful service to the town. Thanks and congratulations to them all.
