Today is 'Thank a Teacher Day’ and I would like to pay tribute to teachers across Kenilworth & Southam who work hard to give all our children the start they need in life, even when current restrictions mean they can’t share a classroom.
The government has released new guidance for businesses on how to make workplaces as safe as possible. This was developed in consultation with 250 businesses, unions, industry leaders and devolved administration.
Last Friday’s VE Day celebrations were more muted and far less expansive than planned, but I want to thank our Town Councils, community groups and the Royal British Legion who put a huge amount of effort into planning them.
Last Thursday, I attended a virtual networking session for businesses across Warwickshire so I could hear first hand about issues of concern and understand how local businesses are coping at this time.
I want to wish all Nurses a Happy International Nurses Day. In these times we are reminded of how vital they are to the Health Service and of the invaluable support they provide. We are grateful to them all.
