On Friday, I had the opportunity to meet with Chris Cowcher, Chief Executive of Warwickshire Rural Community Council, and Chair Of Trustees, Rosie Weaver BEM, to discuss its important work supporting the needs of our local rural communities.

It was interesting to hear about the success of WRCC's Community Food Fleet, the not-for-profit 'Meals on Wheels' service, which has been operating since August 2023, and its plans to strengthen and increase the service through funding partnerships within the health and social care sectors.

We also discussed WRCC's commitment to rural affordable housing, and the importance of community voices in planning. For more information about WRCC and its services, go to https://www.wrccrural.org.uk/
