Kenilworth Station Update 22 Dec 21

Wednesday, 22 December, 2021
JW Station

The announced suspension of the rail service to Kenilworth Station and return to the increased reliance on replacement bus services is deeply frustrating. It comes following hard won progress on the planned resumption of a full service at the end of January and on the opening of the station building for passenger use while a new tenant is found, and will be bad news for all who use the station. Everyone will understand the difficulties that COVID absences among staff cause, but WMT need to do more to avoid giving the impression that this line is always among the last to receive resources and among the first to be restricted when problems occur, and I will continue to express that view forcefully to them on my constituents’ behalf.
