Airport Resilience | Backup Power at Heathrow

Yesterday in the House, I asked the Transport Minister whether it’s right that major airports like Heathrow have back-up power systems that aren’t designed to support full operations.

In light of recent disruptions, it’s essential we consider whether this approach remains appropriate – not just at Heathrow, but across the UK’s aviation network.

The Minister confirmed this issue will be examined closely by the ongoing Kelly Review.
