I appreciate constituents’ concerns regarding a wide range of national issues, however due to the high volume of campaign emails that are now being sent on a daily basis, many of which tend to be identical and often sent via campaign websites, I can no longer guarantee to send an individual reply.
I have therefore created this section of my website to publish my responses and shall endeavour to update topics as soon as I have had the chance to consult with my ministerial colleagues and conduct research into the issues and concerns raised.
In doing this, it frees up a considerable amount of time, allowing me to prioritise the individual and often complex casework enquiries I receive from my constituents, which I shall continue to reply to by email and letter.
For clarity, as a Government Minister I do not, by convention, sign Early Day Motions (EDMs) as doing so is likely to breach the Ministerial Code’s rules on collective responsibility.
